Menstrual Hygiene and Girl’s Rights

Having had over 1000 sanitary pads donated by Wear em Out we decided that we should take further advantage of this opportunity and run some workshops, talking to the girls about their rights both as children and as girls.

The workshops are aimed at improving awareness on sexual reproductive health, how to avoid early childhood pregnancy and marriage and general menstrual hygiene. The girls will also learn how to report cases of GBV (Gender Based Violence).

We hope this training will increase confidence amongst the girls and give them the confidence to stand up for their own rights.
